Beef Lombardi Casserole

Prepare the Beef Sauce:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, diced tomatoes with green chilies, tomato paste, bay leaf, sugar, salt, and pepper.
Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook the Noodles:
Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain.
Prepare the Noodle Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
