Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season and Brown the Ribs:
Season the ribs generously with salt and pepper. Place them in a shallow baking pan.
Brown the ribs in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then turn them over and brown for another 15 minutes. This process will help to seal in the juices.
Drain off any excess fat from the ribs after browning.
Prepare the Barbecue Sauce:
In a medium bowl, combine the ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of hot sauce. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are well blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook in the Slow Cooker:
Place the browned ribs into your slow cooker.
Pour the prepared barbecue sauce over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Turn the ribs in the sauce to coat them thoroughly.
Slow Cook:
Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. The long cooking time will make the ribs extremely tender and allow the flavors to penetrate deeply.
Serve:
Once the ribs are tender and cooked through, they’re ready to serve. They can be enjoyed as is or with a side of coleslaw, cornbread, or your favorite barbecue sides.
