This meal is so delicious, I could enjoy it daily!
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Stir in the marinara sauce, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet, stirring to coat them evenly with the sauce.
Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the gnocchi.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a heartier version, add cooked Italian sausage or sautéed mushrooms to the sauce before baking. You can also experiment with different cheeses like fontina or provolone for a unique flavor. If you prefer a creamier sauce, stir in a splash of heavy cream or a dollop of ricotta before adding the gnocchi. For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free gnocchi and ensure your marinara sauce is gluten-free as well.
